@pluralistic Had to explain this to the people doing our battery install planning last week. They were "oh but there's insurance under MCS", except that a major brand collapsing would probably render the whole basis of the UK MCS scheme financially unviable in future as every underwriter ran like crazy after they realised they've basically underwritten "China v Taiwan won't happen" and more.
