@GottaLaff Yeah, I know. They need the votes to get them impeached, they need to be seen to be doing something about those judges to get the votes, round and round.
I think they could start by telling dem voters: we will impeach those judges if you give us the seats. Biden doesn't tend to say stuff like that, but it need to be said, a lot, and then Dems need to do it.
@GottaLaff And the other end of that problem is: support leftist democratic candidates instead of neoliberal hegemonists! That's not the ideology of the democratic power structure, I know, but guys, it's not enough to be centrist liberals in the face of fascism. Differentiate yourselves! Stop being mealy mouthed about genocide in Palestine. Stop sweeping police violence under the rug. At least start with the really popular stuff: universal fucking healthcare! Be the heroes. FFS.
@GottaLaff@Wileymiller Except Cannon's more likely to defer that decision until trial. She's done so several times now, because rulings she makes now can be appealed by prosecutors, but double jeopardy attaches the instant a jury is sworn in, and the prosecutors can't appeal anything she does after that.
