Though I once had a Chevy Vega 2-speed auto wherein my (then 3-y-o) son showed me on the way to school one morning that it was possible for a bored front-seat passenger to kick it — in flight!! — directly from "D" into "R". Stopped us dead, with me thanking heaven for icy MN mornings!
