There are three northern flickers in the huckleberry bush. It’s not an easy bush for medium sized woodpeckers to sit in, so they just kind of throw themselves into it and sit where they land. I’m glad they’re enjoying themselves!

A huckleberry bush, small leafed shrub with red to pink berries. The bush is about six feet tall (two meters) and contains three northern flicker birds of various ages but about the same size - maybe a bit smaller than a crow (thinner, shorter legs, same body length, longer beak). One bird is in the upper left, one is below that one, and the third is in the lower right. The two lower birds look slightly browner and may be young. The top bird has sharper markings and is more watchful.
