@artemis we sure do love our exotic paragons. There's a bunch of examples. People also can't handle the actual history of Buddhism. [To say it is not the peaceful religion popularly portrayed would be a gross understatement.]
Or even the history of my own faith tradition. Daoism infamously led a religious purge when it was in control. It's not the Pooh Bear hippie thing people think.
