And well, she is rather trained, I must admit. When she was very young I already had the weird habit of pointing at a drawing of an elephant while saying that it was a nice drawing of a giraffe. (And when she missed it, I would openly start doubting myself: "It is a weird giraffe, actually, with that strange thing on its face").
I just don't want my children to believe everything people say, but to trust their own judgement as well.
@lenahallesaale@theappletree Yes, carefully. She likes to look at insects and find them. Normally I wouldn't bother her with facts and information (as if I would know them...) so she can concentrate on her 8 yr old view of the world. But I can't resist to look and wonder with her and put a name on a find if I can. I think it helps to notice differences when you find out that insects have different names, which hopefully might help to realize that there are many, very different, species.
