Trump is desperately trying to win in Nevada by embracing the policy that the tips that make up so much of the income of so many workers there should not be taxed.
Why should teachers and fast food workers have their income taxed but not the poker dealers?
This is silliness since when a server is paid, they get LESS than minimum wage and are expected to make up the difference with TIPS. Fair or not - Ten percent of all of a servers SALES are taxed as wages against them which makes up the difference to their minimum wage. They dont track that number, their employer reports their sales to the IRS and they are expected to REPORT the same from their side.
In other words, Trump is promising servers that they will not be taxed on part of their income.
This is NOT NOT going to happen no matter how much magic Trump is telling the world he has
There is never in our lifetime going to be a category of worker - The Server - that will NOT HAVE TO PAY TAX ON INCOME.
Its like Trump stating he is dropping income tax and is going to do tariffs to pay the countries bills instead and everyone yelled YAY!!!
This would be Trump stating that YOU DO NOT NEED AN INCOME. Meaning, YOU DO NOT GET MONEY AT ALL. No more INCOME. Money is Trumps
