[2/3] … probably civilians, thought some of the older ones may have been HAMAS fighters. I would expect that HAMAS, being Islamist, would not recruit women as fighters (can anyone tell me whether that is true?), so it would follow that the 57 women killed were all civilians. I expect roughly equal numbers of men and women among the civilians, since they were in and around their homes.
