The one thing I don't quite get about the #Fediverse is why we even need different software. For example, why can't #Pixelfed just be another - more sophisticated - frontend for #Mastodon?
@OddDev too many eggs in one basket, I'd guess. They want to be really good at one thing, not slightly good in lots of things. Though, they're struggling to get really good at the one thing.
