@jerry I cant figure out why anyone would go back to a closed for-profit network. Mastodon has been great. Only real issue is adoption. Sure I get all you nerds, but the general population are still trapped in Metaland.
@jerry My thought is that people are hedging their bets and trying to establish a presence on whatever could become the successor to Twitter. Bsky is getting attention for going open invite and releasing features, but that will even out. Personally, I am thinking nothing will bring back the massive social interaction that used to be Twitter. What gets me is the insistence of people staying on that app. If it were the titanic these people would refuse lifeboats and rationalize it as the ship will right itself eventually.
@jerry have people really been moving to blue sky? For what though, the fediverse has many more software and services to offer then just the bluesky twitter clone.
