@genesisoflegend I like the idea of them being gnostics. I also like the idea that fundamentally Iluvians are both terrified and empowered. They want to save everything and everyone around them. The concern trolling is akin to elves and humans. They want us to be better than we are, and the fact thast means 'more like them' doesn't seem to be a problem. I view them as curdled altruists. They want to help everyone, but on their somewhat zealous terms.
