I'm bone tired from doing more packing, but believe it or not, I packed all my clothes except what I'll need for the next 9 days, cleaned out my entire closet. I'm very proud of myself.

I’m getting sad about you leaving … and I don’t know why, since we’ve never met in person and I’m on the other side of the US! Is anyone else feeling this?

@bronakins I know exactly what you mean. When Emptywheel moved to Ireland, it hit me hard, the exact same way. We’d worked together on a show or 2, and have followed each other for years, but never met, btw. I had no idea she was moving (not for the same reasons we are), but still… I felt sad. And jealous.

I'm happy for you but at the same time sad for the country I grew up proud of and hoped for 50 years we could put reagan behind us and resume the optimism that died 11/22/63. My best wishes for a comfortable new life up there. I still retain a faint hope for us.
@dbc3 Thanks. I retain a faint hope too, but in the meantime, I need some peace. Even in little gulps, because there’s no way to escape the horrors, but respites are welcome.

Ps—Selfishly I realized I’m worried that you’ll lose interest in goings on “south of the border” here, and I won’t have you as one of my main sources of news.
Of course, moving to Ireland hasn’t daunted @emptywheel from her enlightening commentary on US politics etc. I guess the US is such a “Bigfoot” in the world, it’s smart to keep tabs on us.
