So there's a new edition of Ars Magica coming, huh. I realized ages ago I found the game a source of interesting ideas, like the troupe style play, but to actually play it was like my attempts at Traveller, spreadsheets.
For some reason I have gotten the impression that after all these editions, AM have its fans, but that few new people get it. Maybe it needs a new edition, to get in front of new people? I wonder if it's really an insular game and fanbase?
@AndreasDavour with the recent wave of people actually playing Burning Wheel and Lancer RAW, along with the untapped demand for a certain type of non-trad crunch/complexity that's an expression of, I think it's a good time for the hammer to strike on a new AM edition.
