@loren Anything is better than Warriors of the Wind, an early hacked up Americanized version of Nausicaa that I grew up with that totally changed the plot.

Warriors of the wind poster that looks like cheesy 70s Star Wars knockoff and not the anime at all. Three characters who aren’t in the movie are riding the fire demon like a Dune sand worm. The most fantastic family adventure in a world 1000 years from now! Heroes, demons, conquerors, creatures... and a band of young warriors on the wings of their greatest challenge! WARRIORS OF THE WIND. the future has never been so exciting!

    @loren In Japanese, the word order is Wind's Valley's Nausicäa, which is kind of great, and less clumsy. Japanese is not shy about nesting possession!

    @loren FYI there's a manga that has a way longer (and weirder) story!

    (I loved the movie for many years and had no idea the manga existed until recently!)
