This moss-draped tree was the first thing we saw getting out of the car, right next to our parking spot at the Hoh Rainforest.

A tree, backlit by the sun, with winding curvy branches that seem to be reaching out grasping for something. Every single branch is covered and draped in a light green trailing moss. The sun is filtering through and making parts of the moss bright, while other parts are in shadow. There are tiny glimpses of blue sky behind.

    Yes! We visited different sections of the park, and each was unique and beautiful.

    I think it was the coastal rainforest in Alaska about which Sir David Attenborough said it had more organic matter per square meter than anywhere else on Earth. Such a beautiful and complex ecosystem.
