I've been quiet while feeling unwell. Have a very short story that was rattling in my head.

"I would steal the moon for you," she said. He smiled and kissed her, saying goodnight. She frowned. "I would though. I love you more than anyone I've ever loved." He laughed. The next morning, he awoke in a plain of purple grass. Formless things just too distant to see clumsily fluttered through the air. He screamed. Gazing up at a green sky with dozens of moons, the face of Earth's stared back among them. He could nearly hear the hideous laughter hiding behind its smirk. He screamed. Laughter like the tinkling of broken glass echoed in the slimy air. Shuddering into sight in her true body she gestured to the moons with several limbs, singing, "Aren't they beautiful?" He screamed.

    @thoughtpunks this is incredible. I absolutely love it.

    Reminds me of some of the more unsettling short horror things I've seen, but is definitely it's own beautiful terror.
