Seems like run of the mill corporate price gouging to me. And they'll get away with it because most people don't think ADHD is a 'real' disorder. No way there'd be an insulin shortage for a year and a half.

The DEA issue will never get resolved since any lawmaker that tries to reign them in will be accused of fueling the drug crisis.

Lots of companies are claiming “lack of raw materials” versus capacity issues. My money is on coordinated attempts to increase generic prices

I don't know anything and can't prove anything, but it sure is easy for me to imagine that DEA officials who would be willing to help that along by shutting down manufacturers who didn't play by this cartel's rules would make a lot of wealthy friends who would be motivated to take care of those officials somehow

If the OOS material is raw API (Active pharmaceutical ingredient) it's regulated by the UN and DEA iirc called Quota. They can 100% control it.
