That's been some really impressive fan films over the years, that's why I thought I would start sharing the ones I remember.
There's also another great Star Trek fan film but really it was very professionally made with some actors that have appeared in Star Trek before. It's called Star Trek: Prelude to Axanar.
They did plan a full 90 minute film but Paramount took them to court to stop the production. Checking on wiki, they're only allowed to make two 15 minute short films.
