Showing my age, I guess, but I’ve yet to see a 4K restoration of a classic film that didn’t look jarring and fake. Completely ruins the look of an older movie.
I think you might be talking about the frames per second (fps) and not the 4k resolution. The higher resolution makes the picture clearer, higher frame frequency increases motion smoothness and reduces motion blurring.
No, give all the details about what kind of movie it is so I can figure out if it's going to be worth my time. The one thing that's bad is when the trailer misrepresents the movie's genre
I liked it, but it's not exactly canon, but that is also not exactly the fault of the show runners who had limited material to work with due to the Tolkien Estate apparently. I kind of liked how they handled Sauron and what they did to humanize the Orcs.
yea there were definitely some significant positives in S1 for sure. The writing was just off though.
My biggest like from S1 turned out to be the quasi-romance they created between Galadriel and Sauron. I thought it was creative and interesting without terribly violating any lore but instead kinda adding to the lore with an interesting "maybe this actually happened" that is vague enough that even the main characters (Galadriel and Sauron) can't be sure what it was.
Not quite the same but having listened to the 1712 Overture several times before hearing the 1812, I didn't get some of the jokes until I actually heard the 1812, and THAT's when I laughed.
But on-topic me and the wife have been watching an animation film where the cinema was mostly kids and we got, and laughed out loud at, some of the "jokes for the grown-ups" that none of the kids did, who were all staring at us for laughing at something that was totally not funny for them.
