Is there a way to keep Linux responsive when at ~100% CPU usage?
One big difference that I've noticed between Windows and Linux is that Windows does a much better job ensuring that the system stays responsive even under heavy load....
What was your latest improvement to your Linux setup?
People who have installed Linux on their parents computer, how did it go? Which distro do you recommend? Any tips?
There are always stories of people installing Linux on their parents computer to provide them a more secure and stable operating system, seems interesting to share experiences....

Will Corps ditch Windows over Recall for Linux?
What do y'all think? Does switching to Linux as an entire corporation mean RedHat? Or could it be done on a distro like Debian?
Why openSUSE?
First, let me be clear up front that I'm not promoting the idea that there should be one "universal" Linux distro. With all the various distros out there for consumers, there's lots of discussion about Arch, Debian, and Fedora (and their various descendant projects), but I rarely see much talk about openSUSE....
What are some preparations you think people should know about in advance of migrating to Linux?
For example, I saw a post the other day detailing how to set up a Brother laser printer on Kinoite. That's not something I would have initially considered a potential problem to be solved. Another I ran into some years ago had to do with an Edimax WiFi dongle that used some weirdly specific Realtek 8812 radio, for which you had...

Are GTK Themes dying?
I'm noticing more and more Apps actively trying to avoid Themes and instead opting for the fixed default look. Even some of the Default Gnome Apps. And then there are initiatives like Please don’t theme our apps. Is this the slow death of GTK Themes, and if yes, why?

Viable Alternative for ZSH as the interactive shell?
So I'm currently using zsh + oh my zsh, and have been using it for some years now. It's good, it has amazing features (via plugins) and overall I'm happy with it. But lately it has become laggy for me (probably because of plugins) and I want to see if there's any other shell with features like ZSH but faster and lighter?...
