This is not quite the same, but once, as I was getting into a boat, I heard a loud voice proclaim, “there is a snake in that boat.” I was alone with my wife. It was a male voice. She did not hear it. I told her I thought there might be a snake and we briefly investigated, but I felt a little weird about it and didn’t investigate as well as I should have.
I would strongly recommend using the 'bypass paywalls clean d' addon on firefox to bypass all paywalls. Thats what I use. Hope this helps. If you can't i'll try to look for some archived version for you.
As always some scientists say paradigm shift some say not a paradigm shift, all it remains is to wait and see. I am a bit disappointed that as humanity we failed to model protein folding from physical principals (most successful models always seem to rely on existing data) oh well maybe that was a too romantic perspective :/
Yet another example of the people who run the system not wanting to do their jobs. It used to be that the publisher had signed up for the task of finding good authors, then had professionals on staff who would help them promote their work.
Now the roles that used to form a part of the social contract are filled by people who want to simply stand outside of it, hoover up the money and scamper away with it.
The author seems to have a bit of a hard-on for Diniz though. Don't get me wrong, Diniz is a very capable manager but his play style is naïve at best. It puts on a great show but takes some really stupid risks and puts players in overly complicated and stressful positions for no good reason.
Proof of this is his stint as the Seleção manager: 2 wins, 1 tie, 3 losses; 38% of points won. Sure, CBF has been in total disarray for a while (when has it not?).
Also granted, 6 matches is not a lot but according to Folha [0] this has been the 3rd worst beginning of a Seleção manager in history, beating only Paulo Roberto Falcão (1990) and Chico Netto (1917).
Again, this is not to diminish the value of Diniz's style or his competence but I also doubt he'll bring in this revolutionary new South American style of play that some people seem to think he will (like the article's author) into existence. If nothing else, there isn't really anything new in his style - except, ironically enough, for the lack of adaptability and a little bit of leeway to kick the ball forward (dar um balão) every now and then.
