I am really surprised that Chick-fil-A is that popular. I was never very impressed with their food. I mean, they aren't bad, but they're pretty unexciting.
Despite numerous controversies and boycott attempts, the 2022 American Customer Satisfaction Index found that Chick-fil-A remained the country's favorite fast food chain for the eighth consecutive year, and it has the highest per store sales of any fast food chain in the nation.
And I don't get In-N-Out, either. I really don't like their fries, and they have a pretty limited selection. Okay, they're cheap and they're open late, and I can understand maybe someone liking the 1950s decor, but...
Dick's in Washington has 4 or 5 locations, all within 20 miles of downtown Seattle, and a roving food truck or two. If you don't live in the greater Seattle metro area, you don't know what Dick's is.
This has to be a collection of local news polls or something.
I never considered Zippys fast food, more like a diner that hands you a menu at your table. The food doesn't taste good since it is all frozen food that I assume is microwaved but have no qualms charging you as if they were a proper restaurant. I think they are only popular because there was nowhere to eat back then so people go there for nostalgia. If I had no choice but to go to a fast food joint, I would much rather go to a different one on the list than Zippys, it's cheaper and tastes better but still pretty unhealthy.
