Free meals provided for the whole family of students to promote nutrition and also to socially bond students, even those fortunate enough to be able to consistently afford a sustainable diet. Plus it raises demand for fresh ingredients and for kitchen workers.
Year round schooling with rotating schedules for students to promote skill retention, don't worry the way the schedule rotates actually nets more time off for students it's just more divided.
Assignments projects and exams can be re-attempted as many times as needed for the student to achieve a satisfactory grade to promote understanding of the material.
Co-teaching to create more and better paying teaching jobs and also to give teachers the ability to back eachother up against parents and students that try to gang up against them in PTA meetings.
Promotion of students participating in choosing what material they'll study to achieve their educational goals for the year through democratic process by giving them more and more of the lead as they grow up.
Adoption of IB academic standards across the board.
Laws to ensure that entry level work is available to HS diploma holding workers (and that promotions/raises are also just as available) to take the pressure off higher education to achieve working class status.
Regional leadership cannot interfere with national standards, only add locally relevant material like lessons on local cultural traditions or the history of unique local communities or promoting local renowned authors.
Air condition the fucking buildings, especially with the year round schooling.
Combination age based and skill based academic peerage standards, basically having students who are HS aged but only have Elementary school level understanding of their material get to be in their own building to suit their academic needs. Keeps academic peers together while avoiding people feeling embarrassed for still sitting in 2nd grade because they're just struggling that much with the material.
Trashing any and all standardized testing and maybe look into developing an exit or diploma equivalency exam that actually tests your mastery and understanding of the material instead of how well you prepped for the test and how good you are at taking tests.
