I wonder if it would be possible to convince devs to expand text posts by default. Expanding image posts by default and collapsing text posts by default encourages low quality content and harms accessibility. Pushing mastodon towards being a platform for screenshotted twitter posts and memes and making everything worse. Is there a way to reconfigure this within at least?

It's time to get to work — on system change.

    @breadandcircuses my recent experience with Cancer has taught me, that even if the prognosis is %10 chance of survival, many people choose treatment and at least try to live. Seems kinda weird to give up on the earth...

    If your focus with gender affirming care is on those who regret it and you use that as a justification to deny it or gatekeep it then I need you to take a step back and examine literally any other medical procedure.

    Any.

    It's not that there aren't those who regret it, it's not that there isn't an error rate, it isn't that those who regret it don't deserve compassion and aid.

    But if you look at that and go "therefore we should downplay the benefits" then go look at any other procedure first

    @hrefna if 20% of patients suffer preoperative depression maybe they should get preoperative counciling.

    @mastodonmigration anyone else notice the insinuation that there is somehow less hate speech on Facebook than Mastadon?
