Penny from
Twin Goddess Miniatures

This was poorly printed and has a defect that lopped the end of the tail off, so I had to sculpt a new one. I think I did a good job with the eyes.

Back view of the miniature. From this side the layer lines from the 3D printing process are quite visible.

@epidiah They're not weird in terms of shape or material, but I show off my invisible ink dice a lot

@epidiah This chonker just arrived from a Kickstarter last summer (Lord of the Dice). It's a big metal thing that has spinners on the faces for each die.

    Don't drop this thing. Anywhere.

Edit: the dice box in the background of the picture is also metal and extremely heavy. I don't even have expensive metal or handmade dice that would warrant such a box...

Commuting to New Job will give me some 30 minutes on the bus each way (the rest walking) so if I can train myself not to get motion sickness reading on the bus, imagine how many books I can finally get through 🤔
    (is that even trainable?)

Edit: and I mean PAPER books!! I already stare at a screen all day for work and don't need any more screens in my life besides doomscrolling

I remembered that I have a box of dried ginger slices and keeping a small piece under my lip or between my teeth seems to be working to make reading on the bus more tolerable.

(I can't stand candied ginger or eating raw ginger (unless it's grated) but I have ginger-flavored candies in several of my bags/purses because I get nauseous in large crowds.)

@SJohnRoss There used to be a shop here that sold this one in bulk but it went out of business years back. And I haven't seen these bags either, just small boxes. They're the strongest candies I know of (stronger than most of the Asian imports).

@SJohnRoss the double and super ones are harder candies so they don't stick to the wrapper in the same way

This includes written product and service manuals - I'm a technical writer and am being asked to find ways to use "AI" to "help" write them.

One of my favorite characterizations of LLMs that I've heard so far is from the prof who supervised my MA (linguistics/language tech) thesis: that the "art of prompting" is like being forced to "participate in a sort of ridiculous, degrading roleplay."

Just thought the TTRPG folks here can relate

Seeing a lot of talk about spam but zero actual spam. I guess either dice.camp is uninteresting to spammers or we have amazing moderation. Or, likely, both.

@Tim_Eagon @dawngreeter It sounded to me like the spam messages are being sent from those small servers to people on other servers, too. I don't know how they're getting those addresses, though.
