Reading slump. I feel a little burnt out and generally reading a book helps with it, but lately I don’t seem to finish any book that start. Most of these books are quite good tbh but they take up a lot of mental energy and that makes it harder to read. :(

So, started Babel by R. F. Kuang yesterday. So far it is good, not spectacular. The magic system is very original, but I haven't really gotten attached to the characters yet.

I will say that Robin is supposed to be very young, yet he sounds like an adult and has very odd like "narrator" moments where he foresees the future. It's a very odd writing style. #reading #books @bookstodon

I won't be signing up for Bluesky.

The founder of Twitter is on the board there and because that company does take VC money, eventually they'll need to make money. Data sold is a good way to do that.
