I'm going to start doing something that @justaguylinux talked about on the last podcast: keeping my own documentation.

I may not distrohop anymore, but I still do stuff, and it would be nice to have a record of how I did stuff.

Are we ever going to get quote toots? I know they said yes, but that was well over a year ago.

The thing I've learned most during my three weeks setting up home lab stuff is that I don't know shit about networking.

Reading slump. I feel a little burnt out and generally reading a book helps with it, but lately I don’t seem to finish any book that start. Most of these books are quite good tbh but they take up a lot of mental energy and that makes it harder to read. :(

@bookstodon any recommendations for a good page turner to get out of reading slump?

@meghana @bookstodon I just finished Legends & Lattes. It's cozy fantasy, very quick and pretty awesome.

So, started Babel by R. F. Kuang yesterday. So far it is good, not spectacular. The magic system is very original, but I haven't really gotten attached to the characters yet.

I will say that Robin is supposed to be very young, yet he sounds like an adult and has very odd like "narrator" moments where he foresees the future. It's a very odd writing style. @bookstodon

@jgoodleaf @docuguy @bookstodon blatant corruption from what I read. Something about not wanting to offend China

I won't be signing up for Bluesky.

The founder of Twitter is on the board there and because that company does take VC money, eventually they'll need to make money. Data sold is a good way to do that.
