Does any of the Mastodon apps allow you to compose a thread of posts, and complete them all before posting them all at once?

@samir @audunmb that's fantastic! I didn't know!

@chris @audunmb

We were the first platform to support @Mastodon (a year and a half ago) then we launched our full support for Mastodon analytics/discovery in May 2023

Thanks for all the boosts! I think it is a challenge to let everyone know about this, people still think Mastodon (and Bluesky) are not supported, but we are putting a lot of effort to make sure Mastodon get the support it deserves

@samir @audunmb awesome!! Can you talk about your integration with Hootsuite? I personally know a few institutional users who are fully wed to that platform so adding your app into HS seems an excellent option to get them on the Fediverse.

@chris @audunmb
Yes! The whole thing works the same way in our Hootsuite app
I believe the only way you can use Mastodon and Bluesky in Hootsuite is through our app

has anyone heard if the major social media management apps are adding or have added Mastodon? I feel this has been a major reason we haven't seen broader adoption in the corporate or government space.
Reply with software suggestions?

Feel free to bookmark this post/thread. I will add/update with the suggestions including which ones need some encouragement! 😊

Thanks for the mention, Audun!
Not sure what's the definition for "major", we have over 2M users :)

And our Mastodon integration goes far beyond publishing, it gets the full analytics and growth capabilities, it's the most supported platform in our service in terms of capabilities (after Twitter)

My actual views, not that anyone cares, are that consent is a complex subject and that simplifying it down to a binary and then treating that binary as obvious does no one any favors.

That reasonable people can believe that a bridge should be opt-in by default and also that reasonable people can believe that a bridge like this is a valid use of the protocol, no different than another piece of software or another instance.

That harassment and brigading against individual devs is not a solution.

The way this whole conversation has descended is very embarrassing.
And honestly, as far as I am concerned anyone that uses such rational :

are disqualified from contributing to the conversation

Lots of Fediverse Admins are making it VERY clear they have a fundamental misunderstanding of how the protocol works and that's VERY worrying....

If you don't even understand how something works, how can you even begin to admin an instance properly?

There's definitely a legitimate reason to defederate from the BlueSky bridge. You may not trust corporations and that's PERFECTLY FINE!

But don't disguise it as some sort "opt-in only stance" because if you're a legit Fediverse admin, you know the Fediverse as a whole is opt-out by design.

Either you know that and are misrepresenting the truth to dogpile on a dev unnecessarily or you don't know that and running an instance is irresponsible of you.....😬yikes...

I am sorry, you don't get to choose who can use an open protocol or not. The same way you don't get to tell someone that they can't build an email server.
You can choose to block that server, but that's where your rights stop (opt-out). The rest of us want the bridge.

There are plenty of literal Nazi instances on Mastodon, all the opt-in crowed apparently are happy to keep them as opt-out, but somehow telling a dev how he should code his stuff as opt-in?
