SCOTUS has ruled that presidents are essentially monarchs who can commit crimes, bribery is legal, federal regulatory agencies have no authority to keep us safe, and homeless people can be punished for being homeless.

Is it any wonder why public approval of this court is so low?

One of the richest men in the 1920s was Andrew Mellon — an early prophet of trickle-down economics.

Yesterday we learned that his grandson, Timothy Mellon, gave a Trump super PAC one of the largest political donations ever.

This is how dynastic wealth works.

Wealth tax now.

rick1960 ,

@rbreich It was 50 million. From Forbes: “Mellon’s donation made up a lion’s share of the $68.8 million raised by MAGA Inc. in May”……not what I would call grassroots donations.

Clearly not thinking through all of the implications of "that America"

bruh. why would YOU be able to vote if women couldn't? THINK.

rick1960 ,

@futurebird Before August 1920, no 19th amendment and no women voters. Technically black MEN had the right to vote per 15th amendment. However, the federal government mostly left its implementation to the states. Guess what would have happened to Robinson if he had tried to vote in 1920s North Carolina? Not a pretty sight.
