It's been very sunny in Berlin today, and since I'm feeling a little better, I've taken advantage of it to roam the hospital grounds, find a nice bench, and give “A Folklore Bestiary” finally the thorough reading it deserves. You already know @TMushmen from their KNOCK! magazines (and possibly “Night over Ragged Hollow”, which I'm currently GMing, when my jaw isn't wired shut).

A Folklore Bestiary is excellent. It's so evocative, and so informative at the same time—so many wild folk tales!

Pretty much every single of these entries is taking up residence in my head and percolating into an adventure or part of it. I particularly love when elements of one show up in another.

I personally don't have a lot of uses for lots of statistics (there are only the basics here, anyway), but what I love is monster powers or actions, and they're all here, and they're super flavorful.
