i am not sure how to look mtls up reliably ... but overall my highest hopes in quality opensource notes apps are for anytype right now

Selfhosted alternatives to Goodreads?

So I finally broke down and made a very poor purchasing decision and ordered an e-ink writer to be a notepad/e-reader hybrid. Partially so that it is less of a hassle to read books I got from kickstarters and the like while still using the kindle app for the disturbing amounts of money I throw at Amazon....

There are many good arguments against it floating around… but also some in favor for it… looking at previous discussions and polls, I am afraid that this would cut our userbase in half.

a few hrs ago it was discovered that the image service silently did not properly start up, it should be corrected now. sorry about that

    Adjustments and updates are planned to the pict-rs instance (this is the software Lemmy uses in the background for handling media). I will need to stop it for a few minutes. Lemmy itself is expected to run without any interruption – without the media tho. 😉...

    looks like the camera has seen those blinky lights tho, at least i did from the footage. so maybe the driver could have acted quite a bit sooner too. a shame lidar was too good for tesla tho

    it appears that federation stops after a few hours after each restart of the lemmy server. i could not spot any helpful logs yet, sadly, but i am working on it.

    sorry about that. i was sure i had it added again after the restore of our blocklist based on mastodon a little while back. it is now on the list... again... .

    After a while of thinking and reviewing, I have come to the conclusion to defederate as requested. If they correct course, I'll happily re-review them.
