Microsoft Store promotes gambling apps to children, right next to Roblox and Minecraft.

I'm sure this is completely not intentional.

The government, despite a non-binding motion passed by the House of Commons, will cease future arms sales to "Israel," according to Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly.

The initial motion called for the recognition of the State of Palestine but was changed to "establishment of the State of Palestine as part of a negotiated two-state solution negotiation."

In addition, the initial motion urged for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza but was then conditioned on disarming the Palestinian Resistance.

Third, the suspension of "all trade in military goods and technology with "Israel" and increase efforts to stop the illegal trade of arms, including to H-am-as" was rephrased to Canada's commitment to "cease the further authorization and transfer of arms exports to Israel to ensure compliance with Canada's arms export regime and increase efforts to stop the illegal trade of arms, including to H-am-as."

Minister Joly said that the change in rephrasing is substantive, not only symbolic, indicating that Canada will no longer export arms to "Israel".

Suckers and Losers Beware 🤣

"According to the fine print on the Trump Sneakers website, it could take up to five months for customers to receive their purchases. Some products could take even longer."

" 'Shipping and delivery dates are estimates only and cannot be guaranteed. We are not liable for any delays in shipments,' the fine print noted."

"There are no refunds. All sales on GetTrumpSneakers.com are final."

@StillIRise1963 In America in 2024, this is happening. The country is beyond lost. Even if Trump loses, the country is still profoundly broken.

We need to SHUT DOWN tiktok until someone teaches everyone on there the correct usage of "POV"

A POV is filmed from the perspective of a person, as if you are living their life and seeing out of their eyes. The POV is of the person who you are standing in the place of.

So. "POV ants all over your hands" would have hands coming in from the bottom and side of the frame with ants on them, as if they are your hands.

"POV an ant cleans you" Would have a ant liking the camera lens.

GOT IT?

@futurebird This seems obvious to me. How could this be misunderstood. This concept has been around since the beginning of film making. I blame social media for creating an avalanche of enthusiastic idiots.

Congressman Robert Garcia:

James Comer’s lead informant in his sham impeachment against POTUS, was just indicted for lying and making up his claims. We demand Comer apologize to the President and end this political stunt immediately. What a joke.

@GottaLaff Comer should be forced to resign over this. We’ve seen enough of his partisan mischief. This is what the FBI has always been like, since J Edgar Hoover. But this is next-level incompetence for the FBI.

There have been 49 mass shootings in America in the first 46 days of 2024.

It is the corrupting power of NRA money over one political party that stands in the way of meaningful gun reform.

jmcleod ,
@jmcleod@mastodon.au avatar

@rbreich And there are people now sitting in Australia's parliament who are taking cash from the NRA via third parties, with the goal of slowly breaking down Australia's strong and successful gun laws. "An exception for this type of gun" and "A loophole for this type of gun owner". It should be illegal for any politician -- or any of their staff -- to accept any form of emolument, gratuity, payment of any kind from any source involved in promoting private gun ownership. Directly or indirectly. You take death money from an NRA funded third party? You are out of Parliament. On the spot ejection from our democracy.

So it seems that when people get rich, they don't care about anything other than preserving and enlarging their wealth. Morality? Nah. Fuck that shit with a stick. Wealth always takes the side of power. The greater the power, the more the wealthy admire and suck up to it. The nuances of morality are irrelevant. Don't need the rule of law, either. Just power. Backed up with the biggest private sector-driven military capability possible. "The people" are nothing more than a consumer market base. To make sure they don't get out of line, the election process has been rigged to ensure the most powerful and wealthy are never exposed to risk or loss. And if we have to, we can shoot a few of "the people" to keep them in line. Kill a chicken to frighten the monkeys. That kind of thing.

I can't even. When the entire military defence budget of Israel is funded by the American taxpayer.
