The challenge with a federated DeviantArt platform will be payments, if they can offload that to a 3rd party by allowing users to add links to the store, it could work IMO

Otherwise, each instance would have to host their own Stripe payments account, and other complexities

Not to mention, giving Apple/Google Play 30% of the cut

In @pixelfed, we're handling this by allowing users to add links to specific items that redirect to 3rd party platforms

We can do this, watch me 😎

A quick box model this morning in ! Anyone recognise the shape?

It needs to be as low poly as possible (for ), and the circles do look a bit blocky. I was thinking of creating a high resolution version, baking the normals, and using these for the blocky version.

This week, we're hitting the shop floor for a big design that (I hope) will ultimately become a space for a conference.

@brohee @jaap @edutooters @academicchatter I also struggled with context. When a second language is not shared by 50% of students, you have very real potential for nasty incidents, where things are said in front of a student who doesn't understand, and everyone else laughs.
But the need for a 2nd language group to feel support and be able to express their questions and issues freely is equally important.
This is all massively nuanced. South Africa has 11 official languages. This is our reality.

For a creative prompt, it's great. But to develop your thinking by wrestling with a topic? Nope. I think it depends on what you are setting, and why. And how you manage it within your school's culture.
