Groups are nearly finished, and the app too.

Collections and Portfolio features are getting major overhauls, with federation support.

Speaking of federation support, rumour has it that Pixelfed is working on custom domain support so you can bring your own domain to any Pixelfed instance, allowing you even more control, and a fallback in the event you need to migrate and preserve your handle/identity! 👀

Hmm 🤔 I'm having a lot of loading issues with social this night/morning.
I've had 404 not found errors, it sometimes posted my replies several times, it was slow with uploading pics, I wasn't always able to edit them...
I have tried two Pixelfed apps and the mobile website.
I checked my connection...
Dunno what's been happening. 😔

Hey Dan, I came across something last night that I felt you would be interested in, since you are creating a pure, federated Instagram clone @pixelfed Have you ever seen this repository before: https://github.com/picturepan2/instagram.css you could add Instagram filters to your software if you hadn't already. The filters take up about 10 kilobytes, and are rather simple.

    @dansup Are there any plans to add drag and drop pictures from desktop folders to ? I would like to use it more but I find it harder to use without this feature (which Mastodon and Flickr both have). I begrudgingly joined Instagram (although I don't plan on using it much) and even /that/ has it now (having moved on from the times when it didn't have as much functionality when using it on a full size computer)

    @bencord0 @thisismissem what is the point of using a bridge for S3 over just using s3? You understand the gateway adds overhead, there really is no point tbh, the whole point of ipfs is to pin/host files. I don’t see the point in s3 because s3 isnt a node and can’t pin the files

    @marcelcosta @pixelfed its basically a beautiful benefactress badge on their profile, the exclusive feature is nothing more than a "verified badge"

    All major features like Live Streaming, Sup, Loops, etc will remain open source of course, this is only to help gain funding with easy in-app purchases! (and we need to give them something in return)
