We need a word for thematic & dramatic games that are not "narrative" or "storytelling" as they've come to mean in the space. More in the classic sense of tabletop "storytelling" games [especially in the 80s sense, but better engineered than the stereotypical 90s model].

    @thoughtpunks @Tregenza has been my, friend, editor, and writing partner for a decade now and it's been a very important relationship for us both.

    @thoughtpunks thinking about how to make humans an interesting species for a fantasy setting for @6d6rpg .

    Currently I have them as cunning, spiteful, and violent.

    @thoughtpunks @6d6rpg that's a useful point and something to consider.

    I'm happy with the life advantages for the Human path, but I'm struggling to come up with skills, talents, and knowledge that are uniquely or stereotypical for humans in fantasy settings.

    Like for the Elves I have Artful Speech and the Dwarves have Stone Sense.

    Probably the best answer to a question I asked a player was "Chocolate."

    The question was "What smell greets you as you open the door to the wizard's tower?"

    Now instead of a necromancer, we're dealing with a rogue gastromancer with a pastry grudge and the trap on floor three is a cauldron of bewitching molten chocolate.

    Always ask players to contribute to the world building and scene description.
