It's a weird one, in a made up language, but I really love that chill summer vibe they bring, along with the acoustic guitar and drips of water...

These guys were darlings of the alternative college scene in Auckland in the early 90s. The album is worth a listen.

I’m on my way to tennis, but everyone else on this train has a giant suitcase and is presumably departing the city for Golden Week 🤔

(“Golden Week” is a run of national holidays that occur in Japan end of April / start of May. This year they’ve fallen on the Monday, Friday, Saturday and Monday, which isn’t a great line up, but many people will supplement with their paid vacation and take the week away.)

@elizabethtasker I took a quick vacation to Tokyo and Kyoto in mid-April (the Cherry Blossom was in full glory, amazing!) and there were numerous warnings on the train/bus websites that shit was about to get real for Golden Week. So glad I missed that, Kyoto was already busy!

My AirPods are dying: the right pod in particular doesn't last my whole journey home from work, which is wimpish!

I currently have the first generation AirPods without noise cancelling but... since I mainly l listen to them outside... do I want the noise cancelling Pros? (As outside, I wouldn’t be able to use the noise cancelling, due to the risk of being hit by a car!)

@elizabethtasker I love my AirPod Pro 2s. The noise cancellation is excellent, and includes a pass through mode where some sound is omitted but louder noises come through, great for going for walks where you want to hear cars coming.

Also, and a big deal for me, the case now works in Find My even when the lid is closed! I’m always losing mine and now I can find them!
