hello federation admins, is there an updated list of known servers that meta will use to federate?

@shanie yeah I knew/assumed that one. I just also assume that we're going to find out that meta is using other servers to scrape/ingest :/

@ocdtrekkie @shanie I think that's entirely beside the point. The point is that if someone can use facebook's shit to follow me on mastodon, then my being on mastodon is providing value to meta users and giving them reasons to stay there.

I'm not cool with that. People want to follow me they have to use different platforms.

@ocdtrekkie @shanie you can look at it however you want. letting a corporation like meta have free access to my own data is not a line I'm willing to cross, and it's weird that you are invested in arguing that people should.

I don't know what the game industry is going to look like in two or three years, but I am fairly convinced it's not going to look anything like what it's been in the past.

For whatever reason, capital has decided games shouldn't exist, and this is going to destroy the industry as we know it.

I think the people with money have decided they no longer want permanent payroll. I think games are moving towards an era of people contracting for a project and always facing the prospect of their job ending.

I don't think the industry survives this in any meaningful way without complete industry unionization.

When I lost my job, which seems like it's clearly on the horizon, I think I'm done. I think I'm leaving games. I could probably get another job, with 25 years experience and a bunch of hits under my belt. But why? So I can get laid off or have the job turn sour in another year or two?

I'm tired of this industry being shit.
