Your periodic reminder that:

  • Aces are queer.
  • Being ace is about sexual attraction, not whether you have—or enjoy, for that matter—sex.
  • Being ace is about sexual attraction, not whether you masturbate or can experience sexual arousal.
  • Aces have always been part of the acronym, though where we have fallen has changed over time and in different regions. It is both incorrect to say "the A has only ever meant ally" and "the A has never meant ally" (the reason for this is complex)

Aces aren't uniquely human, and there are overwhelmingly many biology data which support that queer populations are compatible with natural selection.

Lots of animals don't do sex by choice, and stay in the gene pool by supporting relatives.

To delete one of your posts on Mastodon, go to the post, click ⋯ then select "Delete".

To edit a post, click ⋯ and then "Edit". Editing is usually better for corrections as it means links, shares and replies carry on working.

"Delete & Re-Draft" is a relic from the days before post editing was available. It deletes the post and puts a copy of it into the post creation box. You probably don't need this, but it's useful for changing post visibilities.

I find delete and re-draft is still useful.

  • editing does not allow changing post visibility (as you mention under the link)
  • editing does not always propagate properly to other servers
    -- this is especially relevant when adding hashtags, mentions, and CW
  • editing might not allow you to alter alt-text without re-uploading the image

It might be fixed on 4.2, but hometown uses 4.0 so I'm still dealing with it ;)

That might be the case with other forks as well.
