The US has the rich world's most expensive health care system, and that system delivers the worst health outcomes of any country in the rich world. Also, the US is unique in relying on market forces as the primary regulator of its health care system. All of these facts are related!

    This is an example of how minimizing COVID is destructive to public health far beyond COVID.

    Yet, raw milk enthusiasts are undaunted by the heightened risk. The California-based Raw Milk Institute called the warnings "clearly fearmongering." The institute's founder, Mark McAfee, told the Los Angeles Times this weekend that his customers are, in fact, specifically requesting raw milk from H5N1-infected cows. According to McAfee, his customers believe, without evidence, that directly drinking high levels of the avian influenza virus will give them immunity to the deadly pathogen.

    @luckytran in my mind those mainly will vote for gop, so that means from the raw milk group there will be 52% votes for electors who want a racists authoritarian President.

    For a decade, Hollywood hasn’t aggressively fought piracy because it saw people would pay if they made them a good deal.

    But as streaming has gotten worse and more expensive, consumers turned back to file sharing. Now the industry plans to get Congress to pass new legislation to stop them.

    @GottaLaff the issue is that needs a lot more than just some long distance missiles, they need artillery munition, more C90s and Bradly, ammunition to hand held weapons, air defense missiles, military grade drones and so on...

    Let see how it goes with the munition, that will be really needed at the front lines and would boost the moral too.

    As Paul Waldman points out, in case we need reminding, how Republicans have been acting lately tells us all we need to know about their priorities:

    Though they scream about immigration and an imaginary invasion, they don't really care about immigration except as a tool to attack Democrats.

    Nor do they care about the economy, despite nods to pretend they do.

    @wdlindsy they just a part of the that and has been pushing for for quite many years which is about a handful of countries dividing the world between them in spheres of influence.
