Fighting bots is fighting humans.

One advantage to working on freely-licensed projects for over a decade is that I was forced to grapple with this decision far before mass scraping for AI training.

@molly0xfff I am averse to serving as a for shitty AI tech so I will continue to try to Rule 2 . I understand dickheads and have worked for many. Supertrained AI models nobody understands, OTOH and they are freaking dangerous. Fighting bots is our future.

@rms I'd like to know the source data behind your third claim. Is this referring directly to bond interest, or indirect sources like money market or other? I don't have data but my impression is the rich mostly do not put their money into those investments compared to stocks or real estate or other private/exclusive investments. The bar for going to TreasuryDirect and opening an account to purchase bonds is pretty low.

@rms It's fun to fly from country A to B to C and comparing notes on what was allowed onboard inside the cabin in country A but forbidden to be brought on in B or C while you know it is already inside the plane. Ceremonial or souvenir objects are the best. Never wander outside of security at B during a layover with your stuff unless you want to find out more about this while in possession of forbidden souvenirs.
