@Turnimunt@mastodon.social

I've been looking at some bios. Now it occurs to me I could list a whole lot of isms and say I'm against them, but how about I just say I don't like to see people getting picked on. It's not fair and it's not right. How simple was that?

EVERY damn headline from WaPo and NYT is anti-Biden BS.

No need to tell me you've canceled subscriptions, I already know and good on ya.

But we need to counter this stuff.

We need to blast.

And we need to tell them DIRECTLY, as many of you have done, to stop this and go after FASCIST TRUMP and his cohorts.

@lunaticatlarge @DLeeT @GottaLaff It's hard for me to see US politics clearly from here in the UK, but it does seem to me the Dems were hoist by their own petard here.

For quite a while they harped on Trump's incoherence until it no longer mattered because his supporters started to just accept it.

So the reason this isn't an issue for Trump is because his supporters don't care; Biden's do.

@GottaLaff @lunaticatlarge @DLeeT But there's a difference in what you say here and what your press said early on.

Your criticisms of Trump are valid, but I distinctly remember your press mocking Trump - and more importantly - mocking his supporters.

I think that made his supporters conflate criticisms of Trump with criticisms of them.

I think that early coverage was a massive strategic mistake.

@GottaLaff @n1xnx @lunaticatlarge @DLeeT I think the left started to lose when they turned on Bernie Sanders and from this side of the pond it's really hard to see why they did that.

From my reading it seems like he would have scared the billionaires and they would have left America. I don't think that was ever very likely.

In most of the rest of the world Sanders is a moderate left winger, no more left wing than people who have won elections all over the world.

That was inexplicable to me.
