TinklesMcPoo , to Ask Lemmy in What games did you have a good time with that you just never finished?

So odd as I feel I may be the Ying to your yang. The first zelda is maybe the only one I haven't completed. I think it was incredible for it's time but I think modern controls have left me in a place where I get bored with that entry too quickly.

TinklesMcPoo , to Cool Guides in Evolution of the alphabet

First thing I noticed too. Odd how something like that happens. Reminds me of the Jim Gaffigan male seahorse joke.

They're obviously advertising to folks flying in private jets. The fresh maker is not for the common riff raff.

Yea these poor companies artificially inflating their product containers to provide a sense of more product within while stating the actual product amount in 6 pt font at the bottom of the packaging are getting a bad wrap! Sure the net weight is provided and without comparison to another package it's difficult to ascertain exactly what that weight equates to but that should be on the consumer and not the poor company trying to deceive you into thinking you're getting more than you paid for!

When will the consumer finally accept how dumb they are and apologize to these conglomerates?!

Glad you got a good view! Now that I've experienced it with limited view but a really cool darkness, I'm ready to prep for a trip I hope gives a much better view in a few years!

TinklesMcPoo , to Asklemmy in Why stand in line to board an airplane?

I know he acknowledges the capitalistic barrier to this solution but the other issue I see most often are folks simply not being there by boarding time. These methods all assume you would have everyone ready to board in their respective groups at once. I would imagine that throwing a few folks out of order in even the modified Steffen approach could bring down the theoretical time by quote a bit.

I like Bill Burrs stance as well

Just got back from niagra and while it was still amazing to witness and we got glimpses of the totality for about 7 seconds, still disappointed I didn't get a better view. Xkcd connected with me so much as I literally started looking up weather, room rates, etc for Sydney in 2028 last night.

On top of that sometime installed a window in his room somewhere between his unintelligible rant and death.

TinklesMcPoo , to You Should Know in YSK: You can and should freeze your credit reporting accounts at all 3 providers (for US users)

One other thing to note, as a parent with young kids, you can do this for them as well. It's a much larger headache as it can't be done online but a small headache in comparison to trying to unravel credit abuse/identity theft when they turn 18.

There are only two types of people in this world I hate:

  1. People intolerant of other cultures
  2. The Dutch
