@GottaLaff I think Trump has gotten himself into a mess his ego could never have anticipated. In my experience he was regarded as a buffoon - nobody believed his bluffs and he could only get women who need something from him and he got to pull all of the rich white guy tax schemes w/o worry. I don't think he'd be in the current trial, or that this IRS audit would have been completed if he hadn't become President. He could have played the big guy with no consequences if he hadn't over-reached.

This was really early Sat + this little one needs to be fed every 2hrs which takes about an hour so we were both crazy sleepy leading to:

a. Ramone basically sleep drinking

b. Me calling “Pedialyte” “Prilosec” I don’t use either, but my TV/radio consumption is mostly news, whose ads target an older demographic meaning I hear ads for heartburn, arthritis, ED, heart disease; guess it crept into my subconscious vocab.

Also this was right before I could tell she was a he.

A was quickly dismissed at the start. She was among the 7 already selected, she said she was very worried that despite the fact the court ruled to keep jurors’ name secret, she would still be exposed & targeted.

I watched SCTV when it was fairly new, and I watched Freaks and Geeks much, much later, as a pandemic watch-a-thon, and in all this time, I never put together that the dad on Freaks and Geeks was from SCTV. Now I see it, I just never recognized him from his earlier work while on that show....

So, I started reading Disproven, by Ken Block, who was hired by the Trump campaign to look into data driven claims of voter fraud in 2020. The book was released yesterday. On p. 10 he says "States that do not provide full dates of birth in their voter files should be sued in advance of the election in order to secure the data necessary to properly evaluate results."

The book so far is pretty reasonably argued, but this seems like a weird coincidence.

True story - I have no interest/capacity/knowledge to create a specific feed, so I just keep all my various follows together, and when I come on Masto I scroll for a bit live to get a sample, and then I search and go to your feed. I do that multiple times a day - you are my news curator. I hope you can keep in your heart that for every poopyhead who takes your feed in crappy directions, there are a bunch of us who come specifically for your specific world view.

I was reading the play by play - it seems like first Dean Phillips showed up, who the R's weren't expecting, and then Texan D Al Green showed up, and the Johnson and his whip were left just staring at their vote board in despair. And it was tied 215 -215, so they left the vote open and tried to flip someone, and they got a flip the other way, so the count ended up 214-216. Just a total clown show...
