Quereller , to Science Memes in It definitely *was* a good idea though

Not when you mix it with nitroglycerin.

Quereller , to No Stupid Questions in If nuclear fusion were to become useful for residential heating, could the plasma be useful for fake fireplaces?

The fusion is activating the walls of the reactor, they get somewhat radioactive.

Quereller , to General Discussion in How Do You Possibly Use These Forums For Discussion When

All these people think their idea of a society is the best - same as you do.

Quereller , to General Discussion in How Do You Possibly Use These Forums For Discussion When

Some people want the society transformed into a theocracy, or an ethno state, or a national socialist state. Some people think no one should own a personal car or a big house.

Do you accept violence from these people against you and your loved ones?

Quereller , to Ask Lemmy in Anyone else banned from world news for criticizing China?

The .ml stands for Marxist /Leninist.

Quereller , to Buy it for Life in Any suggestions for a good buy it for life backpack?

Savotta Jääkäri

I nearly use mine as in the video and it holds up.

Quereller , to Security in How the Pentagon Learned to Use Targeted Ads to Find Its Targets—and Vladimir Putin

It is so important that people are aware of the Ad-surveillance. But most just do not care, to abstract is the danger.

Quereller , to Science Memes in puts hair on your chest

Yeah, you are eating their children.

Quereller , to Privacy in Toyota cars collecting and potentially sharing location data and personal information, Choice says, and it's not the only car brand facing privacy concerns

As it would be better here. The example is even an asian manufacturer.
As it looks like now, my next car will be from a few years ago.

Quereller , to DeGoogle Yourself in Initial Impressions of GrapheneOS

Ok, I try.
So URLcheck is just nice to review what you have clicked and maybe remove some tracking.

I prefer Mull because I have the impression I get better privacy.
First, there is Adblock and other extensions which ( I think) I can't use in Vanadium. And second, I use a feature to delete just any history/ cookie etc. on app close. I think this option is also not available.

Quereller , to DeGoogle Yourself in Initial Impressions of GrapheneOS

The GrapheneOS devs largely prefer their chromium based browser.
I however decided for me that a combination of the URLCheck and Mull apps fits my needs best.

Quereller , to Technology in Popular AI Chatbots Found to Give Error-Ridden Legal Answers

I tried to use GPT4 in my work but it continuously gave factually wrong answers.

Quereller , to Asklemmy in What was the last time you clicked on an ad?

Every time I search a company website on Google and I don't like the company and want them loose money. If I like the company I click the normal search result.

Quereller , to Privacy in the encryption keys, why can't the government just sneak on them?

I think no one has mentioned the base for all the cryptographic functions.
A mathematical operation which is simple in one direction but very hard in the the other (backwards). The factorisation of large prime numbers is one example.

Quereller , to Linux in Lazarus hackers now push Linux malware via fake job offers

I work in a big international company. We regularly have phishing (email) awareness training. But they outsource about everything and regularly change the providers. So we often get totally legit emails from just some random companies and are supposed to visit/ login to some previously unknown domains.
