One thing I love about low spec, low res, pixel art games…

With our modern tools, one or two people can make what would have been a state of the art, boundary-pushing game on platforms from 35 years ago.

And there is so much opportunity there, largely unexplored, as we abandoned platforms for whatever was coming next.

What game, of any scale and genre, most deserved to become a massive franchise, but didn’t.

You can’t say Chrono Trigger.
