Alpine cornflower, Centaurea stricta. The flower only gets to about 10cms high. It has quickly formed a clump after planting just one small plant last summer, & so far this year its been flowering for over a month.

Ornamental grass, Festuca amsthystina, with its delicate purple flowers. I love the way the lightest breeze makes it sway and adds movement to the border.

1st sweetpeas of the season. The fragrance is divine.

I've brought them into my bedroom so I can enjoy some of the outside in, which is really nice as it has been a crappy ME week.

Alpine Geranium cinereum Ballerina. Only get about 15cm h x 25cm W, but has lots of flowers over summer, and is ever so pretty.

A couple of Alliums at the bottom of the photo, and a cat sitting further away. She has a inflatable collar to stop her worrying a wound. It looks like a Tudor ruff around her neck. She doesn't look pleased.

A small palm tree with a large, wide, floral spike coming out of the top, that is pink and white.
A heuchera with purple leaves close to the ground, and lots of pinkish-white flower spikes. It really stands out from the other foliage that is all green.
A purple flowering geranium plant. The purple flowers also have fine darker purple veins running through the petals. It's very pretty.

On holiday in Devon, and the country lanes are FILLED will Ramsons, aka wild garlic. So beautiful, and smells so good.

Focus on a ramson flower head. C. 12 individual white flowers with green in the very middle, come off a central stem.
A carpet of the small white ramson flowers underneath trees, and river behind them. Ramsons prefer moist conditions, so are often growing under trees near rivers.
This is a focus of a fiddlestick type fern unfurling, with some ramson flowers out of focus behind it.
