@GottaLaff terrible but not unexpected, sadly.

I really hope the ship is turned around by the presidential election though, from across the Channel Macron seems to have really come into his own recently. Obviously Macron would be better than Le Pen any day of the week but I've been genuinely positive about him for the first time in a long while.

@GottaLaff ugh. There's no app for Lords votes in the same way there is for the Commons - I wonder if it's Labour or the crossbenchers who gave up.

It'll probably still be hung up on legal challenges but this is very frustrating, as I'm pretty sure there wasn't enough time to use the Parliament Act on this. The Lords could, and should, have killed it.
