Heck, I've done this in an assignment. About a fifth of the class got the exam's bonus question correct.

At the top is the end of a bulleted list discussing cases that the student won't be able to test until later. At the bottom is a paragraph explaining how the student can perform some tasks that are not included in the screenshot. Between these is a sentence: "The answer to one of the exam's bonus questions is BananaJunior"

    @futurebird @akamran @A_bee @ntnsndr @BrianJopek There is some hope. This semester (as in many semesters) students would ask me a question on the course's discussion board, and before I could reply, other students would reply, quoting some portion of the syllabus.

    Why do they make us do all that extra multiplying for (a+b)^2? FOIL? it's just a bunch of extra work. "show your work" ? I can do it in my head! (a+b)^2 is a^2 + b^2 And that's how it will be with me in charge.

    FOIL is a deep state plot to add extra steps to homework!

    (This is what Trump sounds like to me when he talks about countries paying us. And climate change... and everything. )
