A theatre spokesman said later that he was in "good spirits" and expected to "make a speedy and full recovery".

He is expected to be back on stage next Wednesday for a matinee performance of the play.

Well thats something

I'd love to have kids. I think it would be wonderful to be able to be a foster parent as another option.

I can't afford it. Its impossible. We can barely afford living as it is. How the fuck am I supposed to raise a kid?

I'm shrugging at falling birth rates not out of indifference, but out of a lack of ability to do anything about it.

Do you have a link for the article you're talking about? I haven't seen anything yet confirming anything, but I imagine there's a lot of speculation right now.

Damn, good thing two wrongs make a right huh? What was that quote about an eye for an eye? Makes the whole world get a mild rash? I don't recall.

An LLM isn't ai. Llms are fucking stupid. They regularly ignore directions, restrictions, hallucinate fake information, and spread misinformation because of unreliable training data (like hoovering down everything on the internet en masse).

The 3 laws are flawed, but even if they weren't they'd likely be ignored on a semi regular basis. Or somebody would convince the thing we're all roleplaying Terminator for fun and it'll happily roleplay skynet.

Yeah I see 19 journals as well. Must be a typo.

US airlines are suing the Biden administration over a new rule to make certain fees easier to spot ( apnews.com )

U.S. airlines are suing to block the Biden administration from requiring greater transparency over fees that the carriers charge their passengers, saying that a new rule would confuse consumers by giving them too much information during the ticket-buying process....

Wouldn't want informed consumers would we? >.<

Helped my dad do tech support for a doc office. Even simple stuff like glucose meters barely worked on windows 7, and broke with windows 10. The web portal they used required a specific version of internet explorer to function. I think the biggest issue is always going to be how slowly these devices work in terms of drivers and software compatibility. For security and cost reasons, I'd guess.

Good. I may not like Russia for a lot of reasons, but nothing justifies this sort of shit.

I think it's also worth keeping in mind that some people use AI to generate "real sounding" content for clicks, or for scams, rather than making actual decent content. I'd argue humans making shitty content is going to be on a much worse scale as AI helps automate it. The other thing is I worry AI can't as easily tell human or AI made bullshit from decent content. I may know the top 2 google results are AI gen clickbait, but whatever is scraping content en masse may not bother to differentiate. So it might become an exponential issue.
