I am happy to announce that I fulfilled one of my life goals - to touch a giant - at the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

moment (met a California Giant aka Dicamptodon ensatus)

Photo of my hand on the forest ground near the salamander for scale. Its body is about half as wide as my hand but measured from head to tail it is longer than a hand. It’s about the size of a medium-sized flashlight.
