Another day, another round of people getting mad about trying to make money.

You do realize it's dead simple to hide everything but the self-hosted server features from their client, don't you, people?

@BeAware Unfortunately, the well of free money from venture capitalists has (mostly) dried up. I say mostly, because they just got another round of free money.

They gotta make money to stay afloat somehow. And the rental stuff is definitely not marketing to the home server crowd. I think it's a safe bet that the $80 I paid for lifetime Plex Pass doesn't do much for them, 4 years out.
